Pastor Steven's Story

Hello,  I’m Steven Bell and it is my privilege to serve Way of the Cross Baptist Church as their pastor. I began my journey as senior pastor on June 12, 2011. My family and I are honored to serve the Lord at Way of the Cross.   The Lord has blessed us so much!

I’ve been a part of this church since I was nine years old!  God has blessed me with a wonderful wife Lynne and with four precious children Grace, Hudson, Hannah and Malachi. We live about 10 miles south of the church in Locust Grove. God has allowed me to serve in almost every capacity at Way of the Cross over the years. I have worked with our youth group and children’s ministries, Sunday School and served for 11 years as the associate pastor and God has blessed me with the privilege of serving as the senior pastor. 

 God now has placed me in the most amazing place as pastor of all these precious people here at Way of the Cross! It is always a blessing to preach to our people and try to help them from God’s Word.  Our Church loves the Lord and it loves people and it loves the Bible. 

It is my goal for our church to continue to grow and reach lost souls for the Lord. People need to be in a place where Jesus is lifted up and the people love each other. We would love to have you and your family come and visit and if the Lord leads you this way be a part of our church family.  I’m so very excited about where the Lord is leading our church and I can’t wait to see what he is going to do here at Way of The Cross!
